This Privacy Policy describes how the Dual Audio Language Finder Chrome extension ("the extension"), published by Potencialize Me ("we", "us"), handles information. It applies only to this extension.

Data handled by the extension

The extension runs only on YouTube pages (search, home, and watch pages). To tell which results offer a matching pair of audio languages, it checks the audio-track options that each listed video exposes on its own YouTube page. It also reads the two languages and the display settings you choose in the extension's panel.

How data is used

This information is used locally, on your own device, to mark compatible results with a badge, to optionally hide non-matching results on search pages, and to remember your settings. The extension never downloads, records, or copies any video.

Storage

Your language choices and preferences are stored using Chrome storage so they persist across sessions and, if you are signed in to Chrome, sync across your devices. This data stays within your browser/Chrome account.

Data sharing

We do not sell or rent user data, and we do not use it for advertising. The finding itself is processed entirely on your device: your browsing activity, your search queries, the videos or titles you view, and your settings are not transmitted to us or to third parties.

Diagnostic telemetry

To keep the extension working as YouTube changes its pages, the extension sends a small amount of technical diagnostic data when a warning or error occurs. Each diagnostic event contains: the software component that reported it, an event name, the error or warning message, a short set of technical context fields (such as counts and durations), the extension version, and a random installation identifier (a generated value not linked to your identity or account). It does not include your identity, your account, your search queries, or the specific video you are watching, and it is never used to profile you or track you across sites.

This data is sent over HTTPS to a diagnostics endpoint operated by the developer, used solely for debugging and reliability. It is never used for advertising or sale.

Limited Use

The extension's use of information adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
